Though officially founded in 2023 by costume designers Ian Fulcher, Hannah Glossop, and Matt Price, the true origins of Costume East date back to the early 2000s. It began with a modest studio shared by a few designers — each with a pattern-cutting table and just enough room beneath to store their growing garment collections.

Over time, that shared space evolved into a thriving creative hub. The collection multiplied, and Ian, Hannah, and Matt eventually moved into a three-story warehouse in East London. Today, Costume East houses thousands of carefully selected costumes and accessories, spanning from the 1960s to the present day.

With Decades of combined experience in film and television, the team brings a sharp eye and deep understanding of character and storytelling to every piece. From paint-splattered overalls to ’80s eveningwear, impeccably tailored Armani suits to Y2K high-street fashion, the range is as diverse as the productions it serves.

Costume East continues to grow — meeting the needs of film, high-end TV, commercials, theatre, and design teams in search of inspiration.
